Insurances include BCBS, United Healthcare/Optum, Cigna, Medicare, Tricare/Humana Military, etc. If you are out of network with us or do not see your insurance, we do email a receipt/superbill after the visit that can be submitted to the insurance company for reimbursement. The amount is dependent on your out-of-network benefits. Patients have told me that the reimbursement ranges from 40-70% of the fee. Payments are due at the time service is rendered.
TMS stands for transcranial magnetic stimulation. It is used to treat depression by stimulating the brain non-invasively using electromagnetic fields, similar to those produced by an MRI machine. During TMS Therapy, a magnetic field is administered in very short pulses to the part of the brain that research has demonstrated to be associated with depression. The typical initial course of treatment is about 37 minutes daily over 4-6 weeks.
